Every American citizen should see this movie. The movie is especially relevant today, in the wake of the Supreme Court's Citizens United decision. If people see this movie, they may realize that all is not lost, and the power of people working together to educate others can overcome the power of money. |
Finally, we had the privilege of viewing the long-awaited film yesterday, and it was great! The story was tight and coherent (80 minutes went by so quickly!) Good music, good camera work, good editing. . . I think this film should be a required viewing for political science and marketing majors! I was so impressed!
The more I thought about it the more I realized I learned about the race for mayor, and the context for the story.
Spread it to the ends of the earth. My friend who attended is very apolitical, but he found the movie entertaining and said he wished he had been able to see if before he voted.
I saw the new documentary "Citizen Mayor" today. Awesome and amazing, combined with a little sad and bittersweet.
We really enjoyed the movie and are telling people about it and they want to be able to go see it someplace. My mom wasn't involved in the campaign and she lives in Renton so she is less biased than me and she thought it was excellent.
The film really gets to the heart of Seattle. We're always thought of as being a bit crazy, but this film show beautifully how important that is to us!
This has to broadcast on public television. After that, I can see how important it would be to higher education. It should also be marketed to the legislative districts, and possibly shown to their members.
